Welcome to the Home Page of Mishka and Jamie!

Jamie and Mishie

We are the super-cool dogs of Doug and Kerry. (We actually belong to Kerry's parents Lou and Rowley, but we let Doug and Kerry forget such tiny details as that!)

Mishie lets out a big yawn

Let me introduce myself. My name is Mishka, the top dog of the family. It is my job to diligently guard the family from any nasty people who may want to hurt them. I'm quite an independent dog, perfectly happy to spend the whole day lazing in my house, or lying on the cool floor of the laundry to escape the heat. I'll never complain if you want to tickle my tummy though.

Mishka, ever the faithful companion - when there's food involved that is...

I enjoy nothing better than going for runs at Lyn Park, especially if there is something smelly to roll in. Cow pats are my particular favourite, but I don't mind as long as it stinks. On the way to Lyn Park I like to stick my head out of the car window and feel the wind in my hair. I also enjoy barking at monkeys and burying my bones. You can often find me with a brown nose after I've been digging in the garden.

I'll do anything for food!

When Kerry comes home I give her a big smile, and wag my tail so much it looks like I'm going to fold in half.

Kerry and her brother Chris got me when I was just a puppy, and I have loved them dearly ever since. If you give me just a little piece of chocolate, or any food for that matter, I will love you too!

Princess Jamie, looking quizzical

My turn, my turn! Hello, I'm Jamie! Being a Dalmatian, I am far too sophisticated to worry about all that top dog nonsense. I would be the perfect lady too, were it not for my occasional flatulence, no doubt due to my irresistable urge to eat Kerry's used tissues. No, I am perfectly happy to let Mishie be the top dog, just as long as she doesn't try to steal my avocado pears.

Butter would not melt in her mouth. Possibly the best photo Doug has ever taken

My passion in life is to be the centre of attention. I like nothing better than to have all my loved ones around me, and I feel it is my duty to visit each person in the room so they can all give me a love and share me equally. Just don't ignore me, I can't stand being ignored!

Jamie and Doug

You can often hear me squeal with delight when Doug comes home. I can't help it, it's just because I'm so overjoyed to see him.

Jamie loves you to throw her ball - honest!

Like Mishie, I also adore going for runs at Lyn Park. If you throw the ball for me I will chase it as fast as I can. I must admit that I do get distracted by the hadedas though, and I vow that, one of these days, I will catch one.

I also enjoy terrorising the neighbours' cat and digging up Mishie's bones. You have to admit, it's a pretty good life here. That is why I am such a cheerful dog, and you will nearly always find my tail wagging happily.
